1. Product Overview

  GRACYFIBER's in-line PM Isolator is a high-precision optical antireflective device designed to guide unidirectional beam transmission and maintain extremely high polarization purity while completely blocking back reflections. Manufactured using precisely aligned polarization-maintaining fiber, this device comprehensively covers the core operating wavelength range from 1064 nm to 1550 nm. It is available in single-stage and dual-stage configurations to meet different levels of optical isolation requirements from conventional networks to demanding scientific research systems. With ultra-low insertion loss, excellent polarization extinction ratio, and excellent environmental stability, our PM Isolator is a robust barrier protecting vulnerable high-power laser sources and coherent communication receivers from back reflection interference.

Pain Points Solved/Value Boost: In a dual-stage configuration at 1310/1480/1550 nm, it achieves a peak isolation of up to 55 dB and a typical isolation of up to 45 dB. This completely blocks backscattered light caused by defects at the optical connector end face or downstream, ensuring that the front-end high-sensitivity laser (Tx) will not lose lock or physically burn out due to strong optical feedback.

Pain points addressed/value benefits: The system offers two configuration options: Type B (Both-axis working, minimum ER 18 dB) or Type F (Fast-axis blocked, minimum ER 20 dB). In Type F mode, the polarization-maintaining fiber and connector positioning key are tightly aligned with the slow axis (Note: ER decreases by 2 dB with the connector). This single-axis or dual-axis polarization control ensures absolute fidelity for polarization mode dispersion (PMD) sensitive signals.

Products in the 1310~1650 nm band have an optical power handling capacity of up to 500 mW (150 mW or 200 mW for 1064 nm), and are highly stable over a wide temperature range of -5°C to 65°C, easily handling the challenges of high-power environments such as erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs).
