This product is a Polarization Maintaining Fiber Patchcord, used to achieve highly stable, high extinction ratio optical signal connections and extensions in various polarization-maintaining fiber systems. It is available in multiple specifications, including 1310 / 1480 / 1550 nm communication bands and 980 / 1064 / 850 nm laser bands, and supports common connector types such as FC/UPC, SC/UPC, LC/UPC, FC/APC, and SC/APC. Typical insertion loss is as low as ≤0.3 dB (1310/1480/1550 nm), return loss can reach up to ≥55 dB (APC type), extinction ratio ≥22–23 dB, and critical axial alignment error ±3°, making it suitable for applications sensitive to polarization and power loss.
Insertion loss is ≤0.3 dB in the 1310 / 1480 / 1550 nm band, ≤0.5 dB in the 980 / 1064 nm band, and ≤0.8 dB in the 850 nm band. This minimizes the impact of connection points on system OSNR and power budget, making it suitable for long-distance or high-precision systems.
The UPC type has a return loss of ≥50 dB, and the APC type has a return loss of ≥55 dB. Combined with an extinction ratio of ≥22–23 dB, it effectively suppresses end-face reflections and undesired polarization components, providing a more stable operating environment for fiber lasers, coherent detection, and polarization-maintaining amplifiers.
Utilizing PM1310 / PM1550 / PM980 / PM850 panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber, corresponding models are available from the communication C/O band to the 850 nm, 980 nm, and 1064 nm laser bands, facilitating unified selection and management of multiple wavelengths on a single platform for OEMs.
Patch cords default to Slow Axis operation. Connector keys are aligned with the slow axis, with an axial error of ≤±3°. This helps to unify the polarization reference direction in the system, reducing power fluctuations and measurement errors caused by inconsistent polarization states.
Standard fiber length is 100±5 cm, but longer or special lengths can be customized according to customer needs, facilitating cabling for different chassis structures and experimental platforms.
Operating temperature range: -5~+70 ℃, storage temperature: -40~+80 ℃. Combined with high-quality connectors and strict process control, it ensures excellent insertion loss, return loss, and extinction ratio performance even after long-term operation and repeated insertions and removals.
