1. Product Description

This Ultra Compact WDM (UCWDM) is a miniature wavelength division multiplexer designed for high-density optical modules and compact optical networking equipment, supporting three distinct schemes: CWDM, LWDM, and DWDM. The product offers a variety of channel configurations—including 4CH, 8CH, 12CH, 16CH, and 18CH—corresponding to channel spacings of 20nm, 4.5nm, and 0.8nm, respectively. This enables it to meet the multiplexing and demultiplexing requirements of applications with varying capacity and wavelength planning needs. The device utilizes G657A1, G657A2, G657B3, or SMF-28 fibers, delivering low insertion loss, excellent isolation, and stable optical performance; specifically, the minimum insertion loss for CWDM ports can reach as low as 1.2dB, while the maximum insertion loss for 16-channel DWDM configurations is kept within 3.0dB. Furthermore, the product features adjacent channel isolation of ≥30dB, non-adjacent channel isolation of ≥40dB, ripple of ≤0.5dB, and PDL of ≤0.5dB, making it ideally suited for applications with stringent requirements regarding size, channel uniformity, and link stability. Its primary advantage lies in its exceptionally compact package size, rendering it particularly suitable for space-constrained circuit boards, enclosures, optical modules, and OEM integration projects.
