Product Description

High-Density LGX TAP Monitoring Patch Panels (4CH / 8CH LGX TAP Modules)

1. Product Overview

GRACYFIBER's 4-channel and 8-channel high-density LGX TAP modules provide intelligent, non-intrusive optical signal access solutions for your high-speed network environments. Featuring a compact rack-compatible design (109 × 118 × 35 mm) and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) MTP®/MPO interfaces, these modules enable multi-channel concurrent signal monitoring without impacting real-time backbone services. This series fully supports single-mode (1260–1650 nm) and multimode (850 ± 50 nm) fiber platforms, offering extremely precise splitting ratios, ultra-low main link loss, and highly consistent optical performance, making it ideal for achieving scalable network visibility in modern 100G/400G/800G data centers, 5G infrastructure, and high-speed enterprise backbones.

(Designed to solve your rack space constraints and high-density optical network monitoring pain points)

Features: Compact rack-compatible enclosure (109 × 118 × 35 mm) and 4CH/8CH parallel architecture

Pain Points Solved/Value Boost: Designed for standard 1U/4U high-density patch panels (ODFs). By highly integrating 4 or 8 independent TAP channels into a single compact enclosure, it allows network engineers to deploy massive numbers of monitoring nodes with extremely high space utilization, completely eliminating the cable clutter problems caused by traditional single-channel TAPs.

Features: Precise and flexible fixed split ratio and ultra-low insertion loss

Pain Points Solved/Value Boost: Offers a full range of split ratio options from 5/95%, 20/80%, 30/70%, 40/60% up to 50/50%. For example, at a 5/95% ratio, the insertion loss of the main service link can be as low as 1.3 dB (single-mode 95% end). This allows you to extract high-quality sampled signals for analysis while ensuring absolute security of the main network's optical power budget.

Features: High-density MTP®/MPO interfaces and multimode OM5 platform ready

Pain points addressed/value: Perfectly matches next-generation network architectures based on parallel optics (such as SR4, SR8). Fully compatible with OM3/OM4/OM5 multimode fiber and G67 series single-mode fiber, allowing seamless, plug-and-play access to today's most advanced AI clusters or core switch architectures from a single patch panel.

Features: Extremely high return loss and non-intrusive, purely passive operation

Pain points addressed/value: Single-mode platforms offer ≥50 dB of high directivity and return loss, while multimode platforms offer ≥25 dB of superior performance. The pure physical layer beam splitting design completely blocks back reflection interference to active optical modules and requires no external power supply, achieving true "zero downtime risk" monitoring of the network.

Features: High optical power handling capability and industrial-grade wide temperature adaptability

Pain points addressed/value: It possesses optical power handling capabilities of up to 300 mW (single-mode) and 500 mW (multi-mode), and maintains stable operation in environments ranging from -5°C to 65°C. This ensures that the device maintains an ultra-long lifespan and excellent reliability even when facing high-power coherent signals or high-heat, high-density cabinets.

3. Applications
  • Advanced Data Center Monitoring: Supports smooth evolution and traffic auditing of 100G/400G/800G networks.
  • AI/ML and HPC Interconnect Networks: Ensures the health of links for massive parallel data exchange within supercomputing clusters.
  • 5G Fronthaul: Enables distributed, non-intrusive optical power assessment at edge sites.
  • SWDM and BiDi Multimode Systems: Effectively addresses the complex monitoring needs of short-range, multi-wavelength multiplexing architectures.
  • Enterprise Backbone: Works with network packet capture and analysis tools to prevent physical layer security threats.
  • Test System Integration: Provides standardized centralized sampling interfaces for OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), OSA (Optical Spectrum Analyzer), or multi-channel power meters.
