1. Product Overview

  PM FWDM Device (PM Filtered WDM Device) is a filter device designed specifically for polarization-maintaining fiber systems, with a transmission range of 1290~1500nm and a cutoff range of 1524~1650nm, used for precisely separating or combining different wavelength signals within the same fiber. 

2. Product Advantages

Low Insertion Loss, Minimal Link Budget Pressure

  Transmission channel IL ≤1.0dB. In multi-stage amplification or long-distance transmission scenarios, the impact on overall network power budget and OSNR is smaller, allowing for more system margin.

High Isolation, Strong Crosstalk Suppression

  Transmission channel isolation ≥30dB, effectively suppressing interference from other wavelength bands such as 1524–1650nm to the main service wavelength, enhancing system stability and reliability.

Good Polarization and Reflection Performance

  Minimum extinction ratio not less than 18dB (the datasheet lower limit is “≤18dB"; in practice, it can be considered a high extinction ratio level), return loss ≥50dB, suitable for polarization-sensitive systems, helping improve the signal-to-noise ratio in interference and coherent applications.

Wide Operating Wavelength and Temperature Range

Packaging Type: Steel Tube

  Standard Dimensions: φ5.5 * L38 mm, with one polarization-maintaining fiber lead at each end. The overall length (including pigtails) is compact, making it easy to mount on trays or optical boards.


Port Type:

  • 02 = 1*2 structure, capable of COM/Pass or COM/Pass/Ref configuration (depending on selection)
  • Default is bare fiber or 0.9mm loose tube pigtail; 2.0mm / 3.0mm sleeving is optional.
