FWDM Filter – 1260–1360nm Reflect / 1460–1620nm Pass, G657A1 Fiber
The GracyFiber FWDM (Filter Wavelength Division Multiplexer) is a compact passive optical filter designed to route two broad wavelength regions through separate transmitted and reflected optical paths. The device provides a 1460–1620 nm transmission band and a 1260–1360 nm reflection band, enabling wavelength-selective separation within a fiber-optic system.

For PON, OTDR, or other system-specific applications, the required pass/reflection wavelength architecture should be checked against the 1260–1360 nm and 1460–1620 nm bands before use.

The GracyFiber FWDM is a passive wavelength-selective optical component designed to separate optical signals according to their wavelength region. In this configuration, wavelengths within 1460–1620 nm follow the transmission path, while wavelengths within 1260–1360 nm are directed to the reflection path.
This broad-band filtering architecture allows two separated wavelength regions to be routed through different optical paths within one compact fiber device. The transmission path is specified with insertion loss of ≤0.6 dB, while the reflected path has insertion loss of ≤0.4 dB. Isolation is specified at ≥30 dB for the transmission path and ≥15 dB for the reflection path, helping limit unwanted wavelength leakage between the two paths.
Polarization-dependent loss is limited to ≤0.1 dB, while PMD is specified at ≤0.1 ps. Return loss and directivity are both specified at ≥50 dB. The device supports maximum optical power of 500 mW.
Mechanically, the FWDM is packaged in a compact Ø5.5 × 34 mm cylindrical housing, including the steel caps. Corning G657A1 fiber is used with 900 μm loose-tube protection, providing a compact pigtail structure for integration into optical modules and passive fiber assemblies.
The supplied mechanical drawing shows a three-fiber configuration corresponding to the wavelength-routing structure. The current version is supplied without connectors, making it suitable for splicing or further integration into a larger optical assembly.
An optical system carrying signals across different wavelength regions may need to separate the lower-wavelength band from the higher-wavelength band.
This FWDM routes 1260–1360 nm to the reflection path while allowing 1460–1620 nm to pass through the transmission path. The device therefore provides a compact passive interface for wavelength-based signal routing.
The compact Ø5.5 × 34 mm package can be incorporated into optical modules or other passive fiber assemblies where internal wavelength separation is required.
Because the current configuration is supplied without connectors, the pigtails can be spliced or integrated according to the equipment's internal fiber architecture.
Where a system uses different wavelength regions for separate optical functions, the FWDM can provide physical separation between the 1260–1360 nm and 1460–1620 nm optical paths.
Compatibility with a specific monitoring protocol or network architecture should be confirmed from the system wavelength plan.
The FWDM transmits 1460–1620 nm and reflects 1260–1360 nm.
The specified insertion loss is ≤0.6 dB for the transmission path and ≤0.4 dB for the reflection path.
The current product uses Corning G657A1 fiber with 900 μm loose-tube protection. The package measures Ø5.5 × 34 mm, including the steel caps, and the current version is supplied without connectors.
