Product Description
High-Density Polarization-Maintaining Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexer (PM DWDM) - 2 To 16 Channels
1. Product Overview

GRACYFIBER's polarization-maintaining dense wavelength division multiplexer (PM DWDM) is a high-density, high-precision optical routing engine designed for wavelength multiplexing and demultiplexing within extremely tight channel spacing while maintaining absolutely stable polarization states. This series comprehensively covers the 1260–1360 nm spectrum and the C-band 1525–1565 nm spectrum, strictly adhering to ITU Grid standards (C11–C64). Manufactured using precisely aligned polarization-maintaining fibers (PM 1300 / PM1550), it supports flexible configurations from 3 ports to up to 16 channels (16CH). Whether used to enhance coherent communication capacity in backbone networks or in fiber optic amplifier systems and high-sensitivity sensor arrays, this module delivers sharp filtering performance while ensuring high-fidelity transmission of polarized signals.

Remark:

* Above specifications are for devices without the connectors.

* For devices with connectors, IL will be 0.3dB higher, RL will be 5dB lower, and ER will be 2dB lower.

* The PM fiber and the connector key are aligned to the slow axis. fast axis is blocked.

(Designed to address the dual challenges of dense band crosstalk and polarization drift)

Features: ITU Grid Precise Coverage and High-Density Channel Spacing

Addresses Pain Points/Value: Supports industry-standard 100GHz (0.8 nm) and 200GHz channel spacing, with channel passbands reaching 0.11 nm (100GHz) and 0.25 nm (200GHz) respectively. This empowers network architects to extract maximum transmission capacity from limited C-band resources, perfectly matching the large-scale expansion needs of backbone networks.

Features: Superior Polarization Extinction Ratio (ER) and Tight Slow-Axis Alignment

Pain Points Solved/Value Boost: A minimum polarization extinction ratio (ER) of 20 dB is achieved in 3-port, 2-CH, and 4-CH configurations (Note: ER decreases by 2 dB with connectors). At the factory, both the polarization-maintaining fiber and connector key are precisely aligned to the slow axis, blocking the fast axis. This industrial-grade single-axis alignment control completely eliminates polarization mode dispersion (PMD) crosstalk in polarization-mux coherent systems.

Features: Low insertion loss and high channel isolation

Pain points addressed/value: The maximum insertion loss of the 2-channel module is only 1.2 dB, and even the fully loaded 16-channel module has its maximum insertion loss strictly controlled within 4.5 dB (Note: IL increases by 0.3 dB with connectors). Combined with extremely high isolation of at least 30 dB between adjacent channels and at least 40 dB between non-adjacent channels, it provides you with extremely high purity optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) during multi-wavelength high-power concurrent operation.

Features: High optical power handling capacity and environmental stability

Pain points addressed/value benefits: Capable of handling continuous optical power up to 300 mW, with a maximum return loss and directivity of 50 dB (Note: RL decreases by 5 dB with connectors). Supports stable operation over a wide temperature range of -5°C to 65°C, ensuring absolute safety for both internal high-power fiber amplifier use and field scientific research.
