Product Description
1x2 2x2 PM Fiber Coupler Polarization Maintaining Splitter With 1310nm 1550nm 1064nm Wavelength Panda Fiber And Extinction Ratio ≥20dB
Product Overview
1×2 / 2×2 Filter PM Fiber Standard Coupler, employing panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber and filter fusion processing, can achieve stable beam splitting or combining in the 1310nm / 1550nm / 1064nm bands. It supports both 1×2 and 2×2 port structures and various splitting ratios such as 50/50, 20/80, 10/90, 5/95, and 1/99. The device has a bandwidth of ± 40nm at 1310/1550nm and ± 20nm at 1064nm, with typical redundant loss as low as 0.7~1.2dB, return loss ≥50dB, and power handling ≤300mW. It is suitable for use as a basic beam splitter in various polarization-sensitive communication, amplification, and measurement systems.
Product Advantages
  • Multiple Splitting Ratios Available for Convenient Power Design - From 50/50 equal power allocation to 1/99 small tap splitting, the datasheet provides upper limits for insertion loss in 1×2 and 2×2 structures for each splitting ratio (e.g., 50/50: 1×2 ≤3.6dB, 2×2 ≤4.0dB; 1/99: 1×2 ≤21.7/0.4dB). Engineers can intuitively perform link power budgeting and solution selection.
  • Low Redundant Loss for Ample System Margin - Typical redundant losses are 1×2 ≤0.7/0.8dB and 2×2 ≤1.0/1.2dB. This results in less impact on OSNR and power margin when multiple devices are connected in series or during long-distance transmission, which is beneficial for high-performance system design.
  • Reliable Polarization-Maintaining Performance and Flexible Modes - Two polarization operating modes are provided:
    • Type 1: Fast axis blocked (slow axis only), extinction ratio ≥22dB
    • Type 2: Both axis working, 1×2 type ≥20dB, 2×2 type ≥18dB
Simultaneously, PM fiber and connector keying aligns with the slow axis, while the fast axis is blocked, facilitating unified polarization direction within the system, which is particularly beneficial for polarization-sensitive applications such as coherent communication, interferometry, and polarization-maintaining amplifiers.
  • High Return Loss and High Stability - Return loss ≥50dB effectively suppresses the impact of end-face reflections on the laser, amplifier, and detector; combined with an operating temperature range of -5~+65℃, a storage temperature range of -40~+80℃, and a power handling capacity of ≤300mW, it can operate stably for extended periods in computer rooms, laboratories, and most engineering environments.
  • Rich Interface and Structure Options for Easy Integration - Standard uses Panda polarization-maintaining fiber and 1.0±0.1m pigtails, with optional FC/APC, FC/UPC, and other connectors; supports 1×2 and 2×2 port structures, usable as a standard splitter, or for building redundant, bundled, or interference topologies, facilitating equipment manufacturers to create a series of products on the same platform.
