4x4 Filter PM FBT Coupler 1550nm Polarization Maintaining Fiber Splitter 25 25 25 25 For EDFA Coherent Communication Power Monitoring Sensor
This product is a 4*4 Filter PM FBT Coupler (4*4 Polarization-Maintaining Fused Taper Coupler), operating in the 1550nm±15nm wavelength band. It can split one or more input beams into 4 equal-ratio 25:25:25:25 outputs while maintaining polarization characteristics. The device utilizes Corning panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber and filter-type FBT technology, exhibiting typical low insertion loss, high extinction ratio, excellent return loss, and good directivity, making it suitable as a power distribution and monitoring node in multi-channel polarization-maintaining systems. The standard module size is 100*80*10mm, with a pigtail length of 1.0±0.1m. It supports various connector configurations such as FC/APC and FC/UPC, facilitating easy integration into EDFA, fiber optic instruments, coherent communication, and sensing equipment.
A single module can achieve uniform 25:25:25:25 beam splitting across 4 ports, suitable as a centralized distribution unit for multi-output, multi-monitor, or multi-node optical paths, reducing the additional losses and wiring complexity caused by multi-stage couplers.
Within the 1550nm±15nm range, the maximum single-end insertion loss is ≤7.5dB, and the redundant loss is ≤1.2dB, which helps control overall link loss, retains more OSNR and power margin, and facilitates subsequent amplification and detection.
The extinction ratio is ≥20dB, which, combined with panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber, ensures that the output light maintains a stable polarization state in the system. Connector key alignment with the slow axis facilitates a unified polarization reference direction for the entire system, reducing polarization-related noise and power fluctuations.
Return loss ≥50dB and directivity ≥50dB effectively suppress end-face reflections and port-to-port crosstalk, protecting the pre-amplifier, amplifier, and precision detector, and improving long-term system stability.
Maximum optical power handling capacity ≤500mW, operating temperature -5~+75℃, storage temperature -40~+85℃, meeting the long-term online operation requirements of computer rooms, laboratories, and general industrial environments. Note: With connectors, the maximum power drops to 50mW, insertion loss increases by approximately 0.3dB, return loss decreases by approximately 5dB, and extinction ratio decreases by approximately 2dB. Allow for margins in link design budgets.
