2*2 PM Filter 850nm Fiber Coupler This coupler employs a thin-film filtering and fusion splicing process to achieve 50/50 power distribution of one or two input signals in the 850nm±20nm band while maintaining good polarization characteristics. The device features a 2*2 structure and dual-axis working, and defaults to PM780-HP polarization-maintaining fiber, 0.9mm loose tube, 1m pigtail, and FC/UPC connector. The steel tube packaging dimensions are Φ5.5*38mm. It exhibits low typical insertion loss, excellent extinction ratio, and return loss, making it suitable for applications such as beam splitting, beam combining, and monitoring in 850nm polarization-maintaining laser and fiber optic systems.
Within an 850nm±20nm operating bandwidth, the insertion loss of the 2*2, 50/50 splitter structure is ≤4.3dB, minimizing the impact on system OSNR and power margin while achieving power distribution. Suitable for multi-stage device cascades or long link applications.
The extinction ratio of the device is ≥20dB/≥18dB for CR>5% and CR≤5% respectively. Combined with PM780-HP panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber and precise axial fabrication, it maintains good polarization control in dual-axis operation mode, meeting the signal stability requirements of polarization-sensitive systems.
Return loss ≥45dB effectively suppresses the impact of end-face reflections on lasers, amplifiers, and precision detectors, reducing multipath interference and noise coupling, and improving long-term system stability and measurement consistency.
Unlike traditional PM couplers that only operate on the slow axis, this product is Dual Axis working, compatible with polarization management in polarization-maintaining links, and better suited for certain 850nm systems requiring dual polarization or with less strict polarization direction limitations, increasing application flexibility.
Maximum optical power ≤500mW, tensile load ≤5N, operating temperature -5~+70℃, storage temperature -40~+80℃, combined with high-reliability packaging technology, allows for long-term stable operation in computer rooms, laboratories, and general engineering environments.
