4x4 PM Fiber Optic Coupler, 1550nm, 25:25:25:25 Splitting Ratio, ABS Box Package
The 4*4 PM Fiber Coupler is a multi-port polarization-maintaining optical splitter based on a filter structure. It can distribute one or more input beams in the 1550 nm band equally in proportion to four output beams in a 25:25:25:25 ratio, suitable for polarization-maintaining systems requiring multi-channel power distribution and monitoring. The device operates at a center wavelength of 1550 nm, with a bandwidth of ±15 nm. It uses Corning panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber, with a single-channel insertion loss ≤7.5 dB, redundant loss ≤1.2 dB, extinction ratio ≥20 dB, and return loss and directivity both ≥50 dB, maintaining good polarization and power stability even in complex optical paths. The standard module package size is 100 * 80 * 10 mm, with a pigtail length of 1.0±0.1 m. It supports various connectors such as FC/APC and FC/UPC, making it suitable for direct integration into EDFA, fiber optic instruments, coherent communication, and power monitoring equipment.
A single module can achieve a 4-port 25:25:25:25 power distribution, simultaneously serving as a "multi-output," "multi-monitoring," or "multi-beam combining/splitting" node, significantly simplifying the design of multi-splitter, multi-level coupled optical paths.
Within the 1550±15 nm range, single-channel insertion loss is ≤7.5 dB, and redundant loss is ≤1.2 dB. Combined with high return loss and directivity, this minimizes additional losses introduced by devices in multi-port structures, helping to maintain overall network OSNR and power margin.
The device has an extinction ratio ≥20 dB, uses Corning Panda polarization-maintaining fiber, and the connector keying is aligned with the slow axis, allowing it to be directly used in typical "slow-axis operation" polarization-maintaining systems from the factory. It also supports Slow-only or Fast Axis applications, meeting the needs of some special polarization structures.
Return loss ≥50 dB and directivity ≥50 dB effectively suppress end-face reflections and port-to-port crosstalk, reducing interference to the pre-stage laser, amplifier, and high-sensitivity detector, thus improving long-term system stability and signal-to-noise ratio.
Maximum optical power handling capacity ≤300 mW, operating temperature -5~+75 ℃, storage temperature -40~+85 ℃, meeting the requirements for long-term online operation in computer rooms, laboratories, and general industrial environments. Note that with connectors, the power handling capacity drops to 50 mW, insertion loss increases by approximately 0.3 dB, return loss decreases by approximately 5 dB, and extinction ratio decreases by approximately 2 dB, facilitating accurate evaluation by engineers during link budgeting.
The standard uses Panda polarization-maintaining fiber, 1-meter pigtail, and a 100*80*10 mm box-type package. It supports various sheath structures and connector combinations (FC/UPC, FC/APC, etc.), facilitating product series design and rapid selection for equipment manufacturers and system integrators on a single platform.
