48CH 100G PM AAWG MUX DEMUX Metal Module Polarization Maintaining C Band DWDM Module For ROADM CATV Broadband And Coherent System
The 48CH 100G PM AAWG MUX/DEMUX Metal Module is a high-density polarization-maintaining wavelength division multiplexing/demultiplexing module based on Arrayed Waveguide Grating (AAWG) technology. It operates in the C-band and supports 48 DWDM channels with a 100 GHz (approximately 0.8 nm) channel spacing. The product integrates multiple MUX/DEMUX ports within the same metal enclosure and offers two passband shapes: Flat-top for uniform bandwidth and Gaussian for systems more sensitive to insertion loss.
The module operates over a wavelength range of 1525–1565 nm, covering ITU-T C15–C62 grid channels, and can be customized according to the ITU-T Grid (e.g., C21–C60) or customer-specified wavelength requirements. The product uses G657.A1 single-mode fiber with a 0.9 mm loose tube, features ribbon fiber input and fan-out output, with standard fiber lengths of 0.5 m (ribbon) + 0.5 m (fan-out). It comes factory-terminated with FC/APC connectors, keyed to align the slow axis, suitable for polarized system installation and use.
A single module provides 48CH MUX/DEMUX functionality, with a metal enclosure measuring only 120×70×11 mm. It is suitable for high-density chassis or compact module designs, reducing the number of boards and saving cabinet space.
The flat-top type is better for high-speed modulated signals that require a "wide bandwidth + good uniformity"; the Gaussian type has advantages in insertion loss, suitable for scenarios sensitive to power budgeting. Customers can choose according to link planning.
The default slow-axis alignment key tail fiber design helps to form a unified polarization reference with polarization-maintaining amplifiers, couplers, jumpers, and other devices, reducing polarization-related fluctuations and laying the foundation for high-performance coherent systems and precision sensing.
Ribbon fiber + fan-out structure facilitates in-chassis wiring and batch splicing, while the unified FC/APC interface is compatible with existing platforms. When replacing modules, only a few screws and connectors need to be removed, reducing maintenance costs.
Channel ranges (e.g., C21–C60), passband types (Flat-top / Gaussian), tail fiber length, jacket color, connector types, and more can be customized according to project requirements, balancing standardization and flexibility, which is convenient for OEMs to plan series products.
